Hotel Bed Sheets
Hotel bed sheets and bed sheet sets made to order — bottom sheets, flat sheets and the dimensions that fit your beds after toppers and protectors, in the weight and finish your laundry can sustain.
Hotel bed sheets are the part of the bed a guest touches first and the part the laundry works hardest. That combination makes them the item where a specification decision costs or saves the most across a linen-room budget.
The starting point is not the fabric. It is the bed. Hotels run a wider range of bed dimensions than most facilities, and the same room can carry a mattress, a topper and a protector whose combined depth is several centimetres more than the mattress alone. Sheets sized from the mattress drawing will fit on day one and stop fitting after the first topper change.
So the first number to fix is the maximum mattress-plus-topper depth that housekeeping will meet across the property. That number drives the gusset depth on a bottom sheet, and it is the number that most often gets missed when a hotel buys sheets from a catalogue rather than to a specification.
From there the flat sheet line follows the same five variables as any institutional sheet: fibre blend as a percentage, weight in GSM, finished dimensions with the shrinkage allowance stated apart from the finished size, construction covering hem width and fold and stitch density, and the shade reference together with whether the fabric is optically brightened.
Sizes need to be stated as finished dimensions. A sheet quoted at a nominal size that arrives several centimetres smaller has not necessarily been made wrongly; it may simply be that the shrinkage allowance was folded into the size without either party saying so. Keeping the finished dimension and the allowance as two separate numbers removes that ambiguity permanently.
The fibre decision follows the laundry. Where a group washes hot with chlorine bleach, poly-cotton blends hold their dimensions better through repeated hot washing and resist mechanical abrasion better than 100% cotton at the same weight, and white remains the practical standard because chlorine attacks dyed cotton progressively. Where the property launders on a gentler cycle and guest feel is the deciding factor, 100% cotton with a properly sized allowance remains the better product.
Weight is worth deciding deliberately rather than by default, because it is the single number a guest registers without knowing it. Institutional and hotel flat sheets commonly sit in the 110 to 150 GSM range for poly-cotton. Above that the sheet feels more substantial on arrival and abrades faster; below it, the sheet survives longer and reads as thin.
Construction is where the difference between two apparently similar quotes usually sits. Specify the hem width and whether the fold is single or double, because a wider double-folded hem takes longer to fail at the same abrasion level. Specify stitch density rather than just "double stitched", because very high density in the wrong fabric perforates it and creates a tear line. On bottom sheets, specify bar-tacks at the corner joins and the corner treatment itself.
Where a property uses colour to separate room categories, work to a shade reference and a stated tolerance. Matching a white is straightforward; matching a cream or a stone across successive deliveries is not, and mismatched sheets in one room are visible to a guest even when every individual sheet meets its own specification.
Hotel bed sheets are made to order with a 500-piece minimum per style and colour and a typical lead time of about four weeks from order confirmation. Send your bed dimensions including toppers and protectors, your laundry conditions, and whether you need flat sheets, bottom sheets or both, and we will quote each line separately.
What You Get
Why Source Hotel Bed Sheets From HotelsLinen
Sized from your beds, not a catalogue
Gusset depth and flat sheet dimensions quoted against the maximum mattress-plus-topper depth housekeeping will meet, which is the dimension that changes without anyone updating the specification.
Finished dimensions with the allowance stated apart
Width and length given as finished measurements, with the shrinkage allowance shown separately, so that a delivered sheet and a written specification can be compared without argument.
Weight chosen for the guest and the wash house
GSM decided against your laundry conditions and your replacement budget rather than inherited from a previous order, and stated so that the next order matches.
Hems and corners specified at the stress points
Hem width, fold type, stitch density, corner treatment and bar-tack positions all written into the specification, because that is where hotel sheets actually fail.
Fibre matched to your bleach chemistry
Blend percentages quoted, with the selection driven by your maximum wash temperature and whether the laundry runs chlorine or oxygen bleach.
Shade reference with a tolerance
Room-category colours worked to a reference with a stated tolerance so that successive deliveries match each other under room lighting.
Per-property packing and shipping marks
Cartons packed and marked to property where a group order covers several sites, with pre-shipment photographs before dispatch.
MOQ 500, about four weeks
A 500-piece minimum per style and colour, typical lead time about four weeks from order confirmation, with production planned backwards from your changeover date.
Custom Manufacturing
Send your spec or sample and we make it to order with consistent quality at scale.
Custom Branding
Embroidered, woven-label and printed logos, plus private label packaging.

Start from 500 pieces per style and color, with a typical 4-week lead time.
FAQ
Common Questions
How do we size hotel bed sheets correctly?
Start with the maximum mattress-plus-topper depth housekeeping will meet, not the mattress alone, and use that for the gusset depth. Then state flat sheet dimensions as finished sizes with the shrinkage allowance as a separate figure.
What is the difference between hotel quality sheets and standard sheets?
As a marketing term there is no measurable difference. What differs in a real specification is fibre blend, GSM, finished dimensions with allowance, construction detail and expected wash cycles with conditions attached. Those five are what can be compared between suppliers.
Why did our new sheets stop fitting after a few months?
Almost always a change in mattress depth — a topper or a thicker protector added after the sheets were specified. Re-measure the assembled bed rather than the mattress, and specify the gusset against the new maximum depth.
What GSM do hotel bed sheets normally use?
Hotel and institutional flat sheets commonly sit between 110 and 150 GSM in poly-cotton, with higher weights where the wash cycle is aggressive. Heavier feels more substantial on arrival and abrades faster; lighter survives longer and reads as thinner.
Is poly-cotton acceptable for a hotel?
For properties washing hot and hard, yes, and it usually outlasts 100% cotton at the same weight. Where laundering is gentler and guest feel is the priority, 100% cotton with an adequate allowance is the better product.
Should we buy flat sheets and bottom sheets together?
Buy them together so that the fibre, weight and shade decisions are shared, but quote them on separate lines. They fail differently and are replaced at different rates, and a blended price hides that.
How do we match sheets across several properties?
Decide the shade set and the fabric standard at group level, then let weight and dimensions vary by property. Matching a cream or a stone across successive deliveries is far harder than matching white.
Can you match a sample sheet we already use?
Send the sheet and any specification you have. We will quote against it and flag where the specification is ambiguous, particularly on finished dimensions and on the shrinkage allowance.
How many wash cycles should hotel sheets survive?
Decide the target for your laundry and state it with the conditions — temperature, chemistry and load size. A cycle count without conditions cannot be compared between suppliers.
What are the minimum order and lead time?
A 500-piece minimum per style and colour, with a typical lead time of about four weeks from order confirmation. Multi-property orders can be packed and marked per site.
